Macau & ZhuHai (27 - 29 sep 08)

3D2N Free & Easy Holidays with 3 of us + MIL + MIL's sis

This was quite a short trip for us, mainly we visited the Casinos , thankfully still get to visit Av Almeida Ribeiro (San Ma Lô) , St. Paul's Ruins (Tai Sam Pá), Macau Tower on the last day, just before boarding the airplane. Hehehee..

Day 1: Macau (~7pm) --> Royal Hotel (~15mins taxi ride) --> Wynn Casino (Hotel Shuttle Bus)

After our touch-down, took a cab to the Hotel, got a quick dinner at the Hotel's Shanghainese Restuarant, we headed off to the casinos with Hotel's free shuttle bus.
Wynn Casino is the "best" casino for us, MIL and her sis like it most there. We enjoyed the "water dance" and the fireworks there as well.
We went back to the Hotel first, while the old folks gambled their way until 3am.

Day 2: Breakfast --> ZhuHai --> Macau --> Venetian Entertainment Centre (Cotai Strip)

After breakfast, took a cab and went off to Zhuhai for shopping! The shopping is great and cheap, but i didnt get a lot of stuffs for myself, too busy tending little Rayden ... Would like to drop by again next time for my shopping spree!..
Returned to Macau, we then headed off to The Venetian Resort. Due to the time (too late) we missed our Gondola Cruise...

Day 3: Breakfast --> Check-out from Hotel --> Senado Sq --> Grand Lisboa Casino (MIL&3rd Aunt) / Macau Tower, ST Paul's Ruins (Us) --> Airport



After having the international buffet spread in the Hotel, we set off to the Senado Square, it's about 15mins walk from our hotel. Upon reaching there, the old folks +myself as well coz i am carrying Rayden, the weather was HOTHotHot! Then we 3rd aunty asked me, so there 's a casino nearby? haa i nearly faint, coz i thought this day is meant for sightseeing. Realised their intention, I turned to Hubby and told him, we can forget about St Paul's Ruins, we will juz take a cab n drop to a nearby Casino.
So we did, to the Grand Lisboa Casino. So as usual, they went in, me and Rayden pop by one of the cafe n stayed there for abt 2hours +, until Hubby came and suggested we proceed to the sightseeing spot ourselves.
Hooray!! With the short 2 hours, we zoomed off to the Macau Tower in cab, then to the St Paul's Ruins and hv a quick bite for lunch then zoomed back to the Hotel for luggage n head to the Airport!
Hahahaa... was fun n fulfilling!

Trip verdict:

Macau: Ok place to go, not fantastic though and not very children-friendly

ZhuHai : Lotsa of things to buy and cheap. Hope to go n comb more next time (Shopping with little kid is rather tough)

Frankly, I did not planned well for this trip. Coz in this case, I do afraid MIL & 3rd Aunt will not like my itinery , so I did not have a plan but a rough guide.
True enough 3rd aunt and MIL only keen on Casinos and none others.
Was very glad that Hubby suggested us to visit the tourist spots on our own while MIL & 3rd Aunt is gambling. Else when others asked me is Macau fun? I can only answered i was only there to visit the cafe together with Rayden and waiting for the folks to finish their gamble. Haa..

Our second family trip ... Bye Bye ..

Flu Vaccination (22Sep08)

Been quite sometimes since Rayden last went to the PD, it's good, that shows he seldom unwell .. Hee...But unable to keep track of his weight and height, coz we din make effort of measuring for him at home.

As we are gg holidays soon, I thought it would be better for Rayden to equipped with necessary jabs to prevent any unwelcome virus during the trip.

Couldnt decide whether should we give him the pnemouccal jabs or the flu vaccination, we consulted the PD, of coz.

As per PD, Pneo jabs will only take effects aft 1 week +, hence it wont be helpful for our coming saturday trip. Furthermore, Rayden is turning 2years in 2 months'time, which can save him 1 jab, hence decide Flu jab is better. [B4 year of 2, 2 jabs, aft year of 2, 1 single jab]

Now, at 22th month, weighing at 11.4kg and height of 86cm. It's on the 50 percentile, pretty ok :)

The flu vacin + some preventive medicines were given ==> S$90.

Alrite, Macau here we come this weekend, oh ya, i have checked the weather forecast, there be thunderstorms.... sighz ... watever it's juz be prepared :)

We need to come back for the 2nd flu vaccination on the 18th Oct, b4 our next trip.

Pain first and enjoy latter for Rayden, Haa.
But PD commented that he's a tough boy, he din even blinked when jabbed, but PD say lidat not v good, coz he will let go in other ways, could be during nitemare :(

Time to get ready for the weekend trip.

Oh ya another little update.

Rayden completed his semester 2 of Away we go on saturday (20Sep08) which is also the ast class at NorthOaks, Coz teacher Jessica and family is moving to Clementi end Oct and She's preggy, no plan to continue to teach.

Hence I am keeping a lookout of the AMK Justze for his next Kindermusik class.
The course will be starting 8Nov08 (Juz nice wont clash with our holiday) , Milk and Cookies will be the new theme :)

Pending for confirmation on 2Nov. Hope it will get started :)

Mid-Autumn Festival

well, not exactly a very good day for us. Everthing as planned were called off.
Morning as usual routine, around 1pm, wanna let Rayden have a nap b4 heading off but too bad, he juz refused. So gotta go out w/o his nap, so i expected him to be grouchy.
and True enough. Haa

Met up with parents and sis to head off to The Singapore Flyer in cab.
During the car ride let Rayden continue his milk feed and as expected he refused, he refused it as well during the feedg at home .sighz...

Around 430pm, we reached .. As I have boarded Flyer, decided not to waste $ going up again. But again, I would like Rayden to go along w them since he's FOC anyway. But then at the same times, I am worried tat Rayden made a fuss, so in the end I decided to board as well.

Different experience this time, as it's day time and lesser crowd. It's only us (4 adults + Rayden) and another Filippio family (3 pax). So 7 of us in a capsule :)
Rayden as expected enjoyed himself so much, running around and keep staring out and make "Ay AY Ay" sound ..hahaa then whn someone blocked his way when he's running, he says "Excuse me" (ah-q-me) LOL....After the 30mins ride, we proceed to Popeye's for dinner.. Yummy.. My lil sister gae us the treat..heee
Rayden refused to eat properly but juz playing n licking off ketchup from fries. Notty Boy!

Around 7pm+, we decided to take MRT back home instead of cab :)

Oh ya, Rayden pooed, went to the baby room at citilink, but it was locked, still have to call the concerige for keys.. Kaoz.so troublesome, if emergency case, wat to do then?
But due to such high security the room is relatively clean and well kept. :)



We took NS line to Marina Bay then back to our homes. Rayden was quite grouchy, refused to sit properly and keep screaming on/off the ride.


Too bad, didnt bring digicam, so no pics, except some on my lousy 2MegaPixel HP camera.

29th Birthday!

Sighz.. another year.. The big '3' is juz next to me.. Oh No!! LOL
This year, rather simple as Hubby is tied with work.
So, as usual reached home, dinner then a lil cake for me.. Yippy!

Pre-Bday Celecbration@Sgp Flyer

Sunday, told hubby few weeks ago, I would like to go for our first Singapore Flyer ride on this day, treat it as a pre celebration for me. Bought the tickets way back in July I think, during roadshow in the company. Thought it was a deal, got it at $24.50 per adult tic (Usual $29.50). Then i realised there more attractive discount for other cards..shucks! watever.. since i bought it long ago.

well, though hubby agreed to it that this will be a pre-celebration for me, but i don see any plan from him, or rather I am the one planning for my own pre-celebration.Well, watever it's .. I hv learnt not to expect too much surprise from him since married ...to sigh or not to? Hmmm...

So the day reached. It was rainy in the earlier noon, it further kills my mood. But as it approaches later afternoon, the weather starts to clear.
Around 6pm, we (Hubby, myself and of coz precious Rayden) head towards town.
Upon reaching, gosh! Super long carpark queue, hubby decided to park our car at ritz carlton to avoid more delays as skies is gettg dark. So parked at Ritz Carlton ($1 per 30mins). We managed to board the capsule at 7.25am...when the skies is slower turning dark..
Well, alot of folks are telling us how boring the ride is. Hmm but to us, it seem rather fun and ok. The ride was about 30mins, we are busy w photo taking and playg w rayden. We don hv time to feel bored. But in the mid of the ride, our camera batteries went flat, backups also flat. Nothing we could do except using Hubby's N95.

By the time we "touched down", we are superb HUNGRY! Haaa.. So dined in one of the nearby Italian restuarant.. The food is Yummy, total bill adds up to ~$150.. Imagine how much we ordered ;P

Precious Rayden is so happy and funny throughout the trip. Keep exploring and yakking all the way, we know nuts wat he's trying to say .. hahaa
He's such a joy..These 2 men, my everytin now..
It was such an enjoyable and sweet evening for me, thank you dear and my lil darling...
