Confinement.. Haygen is 1month old!

My 3D2N stay at TMC ended on 7th Nov, Sunday.
Total hospital bill :$

Baby Haygen latched on well. My milk kicks in on day2. But he been a sleepy baby, latched for 5mins+, he fall into deep sleep & refused to wake no matter how I disturbed him.
Day1 vit k
Day2 bcg left thigh
Day3 hep b rt thigh

Proceed home on Sunday 7nov.
MIL came to help, felt at eased whenever she's around coz she just know wat to do.. Hee...

Confinement lady, mdm LianHua from PEM agency, came around late noon.
Well, she wasn't the CL we intended to engage. The CL we want was mdm QinZhen, as per cousin Annie's recommendation. But as she have some legal matter to attend to on MAlaysia. She couldn't make it for our job, hence Eric introduced this CL.
Well, first impression so-so.. She's quite loud & do not seem to be very good in hygiene. But thought just give it a try. Gave her angpao $28.

Well, true enough she's rough to baby, baby always wail loudly whenever she bathed him. :(
Her cooking is not bad but always seem to be over quantity. Oh ya not to mention. She spent $70 on a day of marketing! Day2 the same $70! Omg! Day 3, we couldn't take it, FiL helped to do marketing instead. MIL helped to get fish etc, the spendings was so much lesser compared to hers.
Baby latch & on tbm.

Went PD on 10th nov. Day 5.
Bby growth is ok.
Weight 3.27kg
Mild jaundice ff checkup on 12nov.
Mummy wt 61.5kg

Pd ff up on bby jaundice. Day 7,
No more jaundice, growth is ok. 3.29kg.

ML came 730am 13nov. Massage $50, $30 for wrap cloth, $20 for velco belt. Total $100.

Having CL & FIL both at home doesn't exactly make my confinement easier than b4, mainly it's the prescence of Rayden. Rayden hv displayed quite a bit of playfulness compared to usual. I hv a hard time coping with the welfare of Rayden & Haygen & myself. Fil simply get frustrated each time dealing w him, be it feedg him milk/meals/shower/sleep. Practically I took care of Rayden, except the schooling. He spent alot of time w me & Haygen, n each time I fear his playful actions might accidentally harm Haygen, or his loud voice will startled Haygen.
I've lost my temper many a times with Rayden, & got physical :( I felt very guilty after tat, he's juz a 4yr old.
2wks passed.. Well I'm still having lukewarm feelg towards our confnement lady, we feel tat she more like a maid than CL. Her cooking is soso , hubby & I keep having diarrhoea after meals. Wonder wats wrong. We can't decide whether wanna change or nt. Coz she's quite Ez gg she help feedg Rayden meals etc. But she can b quite stubborn & talk alot!
Hmm.. Haygen is Progressing fine, but still a sleepy head when milktime, hence almost every hr need feeds & hard to burp.  Nite feeds gv been on bottle. As per CL, he can drink up to 5oz (150ml) last 3 hrs.. As per my gf tats a lot for a 3wk old bb.
For me went for gynea checkup on 19 nov fri, i was given antibotics & antiseptic cream. Apparently my wound got infection as per my masseur observation too. :( I really hope my wound able to get well soon. & confinement period over soon. Bb grow up healthy soon. It really tiring to hv a newborn w a active toddler.. 
Another headache is the caring of Haygen aft I return to work. N gettg a maid.. Headaches headaches headaches...

Called PEM to ask for replacement nanny on 23nov can't withstand her attitude any longer. New CL, Aunty EngHua will come 25nov, MIL will tk half day to help.

25nov
Mummy 58.4kg

Aunty Lian hua left, paid her 18days $996, come angpao $28, go angpao $20.
New CL Aunty eng hua, 10days. $554

Extended Aunty eng hua for 5 days until 8th. Total payment $929
Aunty EngHua is so much better in babycare, I feel at eased to entrust bb with her, her hygiene level is ok too,
On breastfeedg. Left breast got bleb then bb suckle broke it. No discharge nor blood, called tmc, fine to cont to latch. But painful for me so juz pump. Since 6dec, 7 dec bb broke it. Hv been feelg extremely painful whn bb suckle weeks ago. The bleb could be caused by the suction of pump, or incorrect latchg of bb. 

Haygen's full month 4Dec Sat
Was rather ill prepared, as always.. Didn't manage to get any better/proper location, hence again we decided to do it at home.
It's on 4nov, sat from afternoon to 6pm. Catered food for 50pax from Four Season catering. Not bad the food.. As for cakes for colleagues, I got it from the sweetestmoments.
Phew tiring day for us on the full month party.. I juz wanna slp.. Haygen.. Same sleepy baby throughout his party.. Haa..

05-Nov-2010 2nd Prince Haygen's arrival!

As mentioned in the previous post, admitted myself into TMC at 10pm+.. I'm going to be induced.
2340: Gynae checked dilation 3cm, and break water bag. Insert pills for me to poo.
Was pursuaded by the nurse to take epidural now rather to decide later coz the specialist is around.

0015:Adminstrated epidural & put on drip

0055: "yang shui" gushes out & shivering due to epidural starts

0500: 4cm dilated. Felt contractions & shivering. PAIN!

0600: 9cm dilated.Pushed to the delivery ward.

0630: Dr Adrian arrived! PUSH PUSH PUSH! & in a while.. Popped came baby Haygen crying out loud!

Haygen's a slightly smaller version of Rayden..

Dr Adrian used forceps to assist coz baby's heartbeats increased.
Crying out loud & trying to open his eyes ...Stay quiet & observing when he's wrapped & on baby bed.

7hrs of labour, tat's.. comparing to last labour.. this is less painful but shivered badly this time.

Hmm..
Will I go back to Dr Adrian if I have #3?
No..He's good & quick...But i prefer slower & more personalised care :p
To TMC if #3?
No, i honestly prefer Mt A.

04-Nov-2010 Rayden's birthday celebration in PCF

As I might deliver anytime from now, hence decided to do Rayden's birthday celebration earlier.
This year will be a simple affair, just a simple earlier celebration with his classmates in PCF, with cupcakes & goodiebags,
then a simple family dinner at home on the actual day.
So got to his class around 930am, then had a 30mins celebration. Glad Rayden did have some fun distributing cupcakes & goodie bags
to his classmates.
Back at home, in the afternoon.
Heavy feeling & pink blood stains & greenish discharge.
When pee, it hurts, and felt pressure at the vaginal area.
430pm got thick creamy greeenish discharge, together with pink blood stains.
5pm+ to 630pm, tightening of tummy & numbness on legs, I almost couldnt walk.
The pain came like every 15mins. After 7pm, the pain hardening & numbness seem to lessen & gone. But I still choose to admit at 10pm
to TMC. On CTG monitoring, no contractions observed, cervix is 3cm dilated, stay in observation ward.
1140pm Dr Adrian came & check dilation plus break waterbag & insert pills for me to poo....Ouch & scare.. and my labour is going to begin..

7-Oct-2010 (week34)
Still on Hospitalisation Leave, asked to be on bedrest for 2 weeks.I brought forward my gynae visit by a week, to get some assurance
from m gynae. As usual, the visit went on well, everything is normal, as per Dr Adrian, but I would need to continue medications to curb
m contractions.
Baby is measuring abt 2.5kg at week 34. Baby is head down but yet to engage.
Mummy is 65kg, waist 39.5".

19-Oct-2010 (week36)
Medication completed on the 18th, informed Dr Adrian. No new medications given, but still i not supposed to strain myself too much.
As per the scans, everything is normal & fine, baby is 2.7kg at week36. Water level, Placenta, heartbeat etc, all normal.
Baby is head down but not yet enagaged.
Next visit onwards will be on weekl basis. Phew.. my delivery date is approaching..
Getting a bit nervous now. :P

Baby weighs 2.8kg
Having Braxton Hicks, worst was on 31Oct, hardening of right side of tummy until I cant walk.
It lasts for an hour before resuming back to normal.

3-Nov-2010 (Week38)

Mummy 67kg, waist 40"
On leave since 1-Nov to stay at home.
Lost muscus plug around 430pm, after a big sneeze.
No contractions nor water bag leak. But around 8+pm while pee, felt pain & stressed sensation.
Felt hardening but no regular contractions observed. Baby as usual kicking actively.
As per Dr's advice, admit to TMC around 12am+ to play safe.
Nurse checked, 2cm dilated, advised to stay since #2 have the possiblity of earlier delivery.
But since no contractions & having Rayden's party in school tomorrow, i requested to go home.
I was granted home after 1hr on ctg monitoring. Bill $50.
