Rayden's First Swim

After the much waited journey, Finally my precious rayden took his first dip at the pool today!! Yippy!

WAnted to bring him to the pool ard 8m+, either raining non stop, or he's not feelg well, then the 7th mth.. thn my newly rebond hair.. hee.. FInally on his 11th month, first dip at Yishun Safra Pool.. he love it.. keep splashing water..
after the swim, brought him to my parents' place then to my MIL's place...Guess he had too much fun today, refused to slp...slept close tp 10hr nia today. .notty lil boy!

Hmm.. my much waited day...Hee...Studio shoots with my lil precious Rayden, finally a proper family photo shoot. Hee...

Planned to get this done 30Sep , but was delayed due to the delay of the Family Tees... but was worthwhile, looked very nice and sweet, and decided to wear it on Rayden's 1st birthday... Yippy..cant wait.. 3 more weeks to go, so many items yet to fix.. must buck up mummy!!

Anyway, get his clothings ready.. but alas, i always tot his jeans were too tight for him, but i was wrong, still can wear.. I let him wear his jumpsuit instead of the jeans.. i think jeans will definitely look nicer w the shirts.. But well ..done..Hubby wasnt v pleased with it..
Aiya, he's always like tat..asked for his opinion earlier on, he always say anytin and leave it to me, then on the day itself..comment here n there.. but the stubborn n petty me, i hate last minutes changes, i stubbornly dun wan to change. So in the end... Haa..it could be better.. anyway havent viewed the outputs, who knows? hehee
*keep my fingers crossed*

Arrived the studio around 145pm, was raining so heavily :( . luckily my FIL came along w us, help here n there...
Initially, Rayden was quite shy, frowning throughout, but eventually Cindy and her team (includg us) managed to put him in the correct mood.. He's cute..when exposed to the bright flash, he keep blinking his eyes.. then shook his head vigourously.. look so funny. too bad we wasnt in time to film it down.
Rayden looked like he been having fun throughout.. so cute...

Cant wait to see the end result in End Oct.. Hheheee... and cant wait for his bday party in Nov.. my boy is gg to be 1!!!!!

First Mid-Autumn Festival & Climb!

25 Sep Tues -- Rayden's first Mid-Autumn Festival
Not major celebration, we 3 (me, hubby n FIL w Rayden), went coffeshop for dinner.
Brought along Rayden's tricycle and latern, brought him to Lower Seletar Reservoir for a stroll (FIL left for home). During the journey, he refused to sit inside the tricycle (FIL said he ok when he sit him in in the noon when he brought him downstairs), must be "yang-oh" lo...Want me and hubby to carry him..
So end up carrying him, arms ached...n gotta push his lil tricycle .. such a long walk.. we a bit regret of walking such a distance instead of driving..
Hot and tired!!
Rayden din really know how to enjoy yet, don hold to his latern as well... anyway, nvermind.. heee

When we reached home, FIL told us Rayden did his climb today.. Hahaa..whoa!
Me and hubby placed him at the staircase, want him to perform immediately.. eehhe

Tomorrow will be along day with rayden along, coz hubby is working whole day then have dinner ... so sad.. crop at home

Rayden's first visit to Chinese Garden

15th Sept (Sat)

A planned busy day esp for mummy.
Noon, mummy went for her first re-bonding session. Ever since preggy with Rayden, my hormone starts to change, I've been seeing more n more curly fries on my head :( so sad, i used to have straight hair never need to spend $ on re-bondg.
But now, everyday i see myself in the mirror, i get pretty frustrated with my hair.
Anyway, plucked up my courage go re-bond.Rebonding itself isnt scary, it's pretty scary coz it's gg to go with MY FACE... i always got a big fat face u see..Hmmm.. i hope it turn out good anyway... So i went, while hubby went for his usual badminton session and FIL staying at home to take care of Rayden.
Spent ~4hrs at the salon..sian...
Aft I'm done, hubby came to fetch me along with Rayden and my parents and sis..
Heading to Chinese Garden.. I havent been there for so so so long...
Oh ya i bought 1 "flying dinosaur" last min, to let it go with my lil Rayden for fotoshoot. Heee...
Oh gosh!! bad jam, we cant get a place at the carpark, so hubby dropped us at the entrance, while he parked his car at Bubble's place..So far man!...
$12 admission for each adults..wah so ex!
Inside CHinese Garden, full of people... luckily the weather was quite cooling...Still nt bad, squeeze w all the people.. Phew....

Rayden very fascinated with all the lights and laterns, been seeing here and there.. As expected, never look into the camera when taking photos lo. Nor can he take his lil latern.. hAA....ask my sis (His Ah-yee) to take on his behalf.. Kekkekee...
Then 10pm came, we were juz settled down trying to get a bite.. Then "Pi-Bom Pi-Bom"
We looked up, saw glitters on the skies...FIreworks... Rayden was alil bit scared... can tell when he hide his lil face into my chest, he seldom do so, oni when he frighten.. haa...Nvermind, silly darling, Mummy protect you, don be scare...
Aft a long long stroll at the Garden, ard 1130pm, we headed home..
Oh ya RAyden din drink any milk since he's out, suppose to drink milk around 6pm.. refused! ..nevermind ..reached CHinese Garden while waiting for hubby to find his car park slot, try again.. 8pm..still dun wan...bo bian..While we settle for dinner inside chinese garden at 10pm..try for the 3rd time...STILL DON WAN!!..
Altogether i threw 3 full bottle of 200ml FM in less than 5hrs..#@(*&#@%%@&@$

Rayden's First Hair Trim@Junior League Suntec

13th Sept 07 (Thurs)
A day before Rayden darling turn 10mth-old...
Ever since he turned bald (shaved) at 4th mth, his hair been growing n growing.. Not very dense, but they are long..making him look like a ger ger and a bit untidy.
PLanned to bring him to Chinese Garden this coming Sat, so i guess better get a haircut for him, so that he can look fresh and handsome (as always) in photos.. Hee..

After work, Hubby came to fetch me from work, together w MIL (she came to see Rayden). Aft ~half an hour of preparation, we headed for SUntec. Jam as usual..Around 8pm, we reached SUntec, proceed to Junior League for his first hair trim.
The hairdresser commented that he thought Rayden's gal.. Hmm.. and says that he's a very good boy, willing to sit down quietly.
gave him some toys and i "entertained" Rayden while he trimming Rayden's hair. Everytin went ok, except at some point of time, he start abit of crying, feelg scare i guess. He nver like anyone touches his hair.
Cost of Hair trim ==> $18 *steep! expected though*

Went PizzaHut for dinner for the adults. *fattening!*
Rayden starts to get livelier there, keep moving around & making faces to the neighbouring..so adorable...

Proceed home n gave him a late warm shower before he went Zzz..end of the day

Mummy Shannen...ME .... turned 28 on Sun 2Sept...Oh dear... "30 no leftovers" soon..
BUT BUT nevermind, I made my major achivement and now I'm so proud of!!
My RAYDEN BOY!!!!

But well... recently dunno why keep having lil lil conflicts and tiffs with hubby.
There goes the same on the eve-eve of my birthday 31-Aug (Fri) SO sad!!
Quite a big quarrel, even my FIL was "alerted" .. It was around 11pm+...
Anyway, make peace on 1Sep (Sat nn)...
Ya, not to mention the bad happenings...never meant to be rememebered..

So on sat, as planned, left Rayden to my MIL, while both of us go paktor.. Hubby gotta attend to his client, went for mtg.. So i waited and shopped at Tampines Mall ...too much free time, I went for Express manicure and pedicure..Charged to my Hubby's account, don care! Hee...

After tat mit up with Hubby, went to Takashimaya.. Go buy my bday present.. hee..
NOt bad....Hubby bought me sometin that i like..heee... i love it... Thanks Hubby!!
FOr his time.. spent walking here n there n choose choose choose.. hehee

Then dinner, he brought me to One Rochester for Dinner...Hmm.. romantic, nice food, great ambience.. hehehee... He kept it from me, drove me there n gv me the surprise.
I appreciated it.. Hee.. though as i mentioned earlier on, we quarreled alot recently, but he still went thru the troubles to "recce" for a nice restuarant to dine with me to celebrate my bday... ehehehe
SO around 10+, went to pick up Rayden (missed him so much)...then home sweet home!!

Nothing special, i stayed at home with Rayden and FIL...As usual Hubby went for his usual basketball.. But he came back earlier tat day, coz we be having a dinner with my parents to celebrate my bday!! hee.. Had a chinese dinner... Yummy... then proceed to my parent's house, my Birthday Cake!! Yummy.. Poor Rayden cant eat.. But don worrie, u gg to eat yours soon, on 3Nov... heheee...2 months to go oni..

Rayden's 1st Month Celebration

10th Dec 2007 (Sun)
Celebration for Rayden's First Month today... It was his lunar birthday.
Alot of customary traditions have been done in the morning.
Trimming of his hair and nails by hubby and MIL busy with bai bai Deity etc..
My parents also... went to my late grandma's house to bai bai the ancestors etc etc..
As for us...Daddy and Mummy busy with the preparation, was held as a lunch buffet..Busy setting the tables etc... Waiting for the catering to arrive...
EVerytin was so busy..tat's wat i remember...

SO catering came, guests started to pour in as well... B4 i know it... my house is packed with people... I was so so.. "messed up"...gotta bz with my lil rayden and at the same time need to "entertain" the guests...tiring....
BUt really appreciate their time to celebrate this joyous occassion with me.. Hee
EVeryone goes w/o fail to Say... "WOW a photocopy of Daddy leh"....same comments everywhere.. Hahahaa.... Hubby was so proud tat day.. ehehhe...
Rayden was dressed in the Blue suit that my parents bought (another custom thingy to do)...then he slp slp slp...lazy boy never help to enertain the guests for daddy and mummy, furthermore u r the STAR leh...
he ignored....As usual slp in the day and wakes at nite..I'm used to it..Hahaa

I'm gettg better as well...COnfinment is nearly over for me...Started to do more tasks at home liao..coz all alone most of time liao anyway....
But Yippy, finally i can eat the things i like n do the things i want... can go out lo...Finally!!!

My Confinment at my Mum's place

Down to my memory lane... 9months ago...

16th Novemember 2006 (Thursday)
After spending 3 nites at Mt ALvernia, finally going home. Actually I was feeling quite nervous too. At Mt Alvernia, there are dedicated nurses to take care of me and baby Rayden, at home, only myself and my parents, they are not very pro with infant handling after all.. 20 over years never take care of baby... But to be able to go home and with my parents, my heart does feel at ease.. hehee...

Hubby fetched me n rayden ard 11am...Baby Rayden time to go home!! I am going to fulfill my role as a mummy independently from today onwards..

Reached Home...
Mum's place filled with baby stuff.. Hee.... SO far so good, baby rayden keep sleeping.. But, since aft hospital, he din poo / urine much...quite worrying..
Around day 2 at the home, he start to cry often..unlike in hospital keep slpg...
He was alil bit warm, we started to get panic...FInally decided to bring him to PD.
PD checked, slight fever, told him tat rayden din poo yet.. He said, could be my milk supply havnt kick in... suggested to gv him glucose first....
At around day 5, my milk finally kicks in, i felt the engorgement, rather painful and sored though, but at least i know i can feed rayden well n full now..Yippy!
SO days goes by, i latched my rayden, during engorgement, then i'll pump out.. wow, lotsa of milk..hehee..
Rayden gettg grouchier and keep crying though fed/changed. Alot of the folks said must be him unable to differentiate days and nites.. True engf, he slp long and quite well during the days, but nites time..Oh Gosh!!! .. nitemares for me... so tiring... and my stitches stil hurt...and inadequate slp.. Poor me...
Hubby and my parents have been very supportive and helped me so much...
I suffered very mild postnatal blues, i guessed tis is pretty normal. Coz when i see Rayden keep crying, unable to pacify him, i cried along w him, coz felt so helpless n useless as a mum.And when i was alone w Rayden , i felt so afraid, i wish he could juz slp and oni wakes when my folks back home.
Taking care of bby is really tough.. I'm so glad, i overcomed it.. and thanks to my darling Hubby, he did alot for me n baby.. and my parents for their unconditioned help and support.. and my MIL as well..rushed down all the way from her workplace to my mum's house to cook for me and see Rayden.
GOes w/o saying...got alil bit of conflicts between all during confinment, coz diff opinions mah.. not oni MIL, sometimes my parents as well..
Anyway... i guess that's abt it..din record down during then, now all based on my memory. Hee...
i think we moved back to our house on 2nd Dec... cant really recalled.. hee..

Birth of my Precious Prince Rayden!

13th Nov 2006 (Monday)
0730:
No signs of labour though today is EDD, but feelg v tired and heavy, wonderg whether to go work or not.
0830:
Finally decided to get leave for today, coz really feel heavy, anyway I'm late already, like i always been. Hee..WOrking time is 800am and norm i reach office ard 830am.
0840:
stomach cramps, first time in my pregnancy i experienced that, are these the contractions that other mommies hv been experiencing??nervous, went online to forum, no one ard, so went to the chat to ask ard, i guess i frighten some of the chatters..hee like enxii etc...paiseh paiseh Jot down my timings, but seems a bit irregular, 6mins once then 10+ mins once..Hmmm confused.. is that real contractions or false? Gyne appt suppose to be 14th but anyway on leave today, so changed to this afternn.
1330:
SHOW!scream to my hubby (he not wroking too) then i quickly get a shower.Then went off to visit gyne, bring on barang barang incase she want me to be admitted imm.
1430:
Was dilated 2cm aft checked by gyne.Kaoz..realy painful the way she checked.She said she wiped my watever so that it fasten the process. An option for me to admit and went on drip or wait until more cm dilation. I choose to go home n wait, as i wanted everythin to be as natural as possible.Cont' to monitor contractions, still not regular though.
1830:
Decided to admit to Mt Alvernia, incase later traffic jam or watever or wait until mid nite. So reach hospital at 1830hr. Dilation 3cm. I was then put on drip, they monitored my contractions and told me they are irregular. So waiting for the delivery suite.
2030:
Gyne came, broke my waterbag. Found that my waterbag is soiled! Oh mine!! I hope baby is fine..God Bless!!!
2130:
I wanted total natural so din ask for epidural in the beginning, though midwives asked. But while in labour ward, me n hubby heard the lady next ward scream like duno wat.. so scary..
feeling very frighten & cramps get to get intense, i beg for the epidural.

14th Nov 2006

8cm dilated! Hubby quick record everytin from now!! *he been very bz ..hee*
0130:
9cm dilated! so unbearable, max the epidural, still v painful!!
0230:
10cm dilated!! Finally..!! Mid wives asked me to push!PUSH PUSH PUSH!! Thankfully my hubby hv been w me these while, I was in pain that i forgotten everytin i learnt in antenatal class. Dun even know how to push..With my hubby's support, i gained back my confidence and PUSH hard. Can see the head!! Phew..... They told me to stop n wait for gyne..But i think i simply cant, baby like wanna pop out, luckily gyne arrived.I PUSHED with all my might,little Rayden...Work well w mummy, let's JIAYEW!!

hours goes by:
Baby Rayden is here! I was exhausted when gyne put the baby on my chest. I took a quick look and fall back to slp. I only rembr hearing cries n saw a bloody little body with cord in front of me.. After tat, i was like a "deadfish", lying there..Haa.. I can feel gyne stitchg me up too. Hey that epidural not working? Coz it's so painful..I heard a lot of people said w epidural, very min pain??Anyway, midwives said i v good, norm w epidural the delivery will be assisted, but mine I PUSHED him out all by myself..Hee..Maybe it's becoz epidural not working, hence i able to feel pain n pushed w all my might.PUSHED to ward, finally i can slp!! But the stitches down there hurts so badly...

my last gyne visit & THAT'S IT!!

11th Nov 2006 (saturday)9th visit to gynae (week39)
Having appointment with gyne today, I was still hoping lil Rayden would have come out this week. As expected, nothing no symptons at all..WAIT lo..wat to do.. Check up, baby is healthy, head cirumference is 33.5cm lidat, then wt is 3kg+. Baby not yet engaged, still quite high-up so gyne commented guess he wont be out soon. Been waiting for u to arrival so long, Baby Rayden wat are u doing inside mummy, still don wanna come out and play w us...Hmm... Oh Ya.. maybe he know Aunty Dolly had an accident. Yup, i was quite surprised to see Dolly rolled herself from her chair to do scan for me, then me n hubby realised she had an accident, her leg was in cast and had clutches at the side of her table. She asked if we hurried to hv the baby delivered? Else then still can wait, since week39, 3 more weeks to go. Of coz, we prefer to have in all naturally instead of being induced if conditions were all fine. So we'll wait for u lil Rayden. Dolly told us she had an cesarean this afternoon, if she able to do tat, she wont be having much problem during natural, but nonetheless she assured us that she will have a backup if she really unable to perfom. We wish for her speedy recovery soon then.. This coming tues, DOlly will do a cervix bone check on me, see whether i dilate or not...Hope i can be ready next week Lil Rayden go down n engage yaself soon ok, good darling boy boy!!... MIL called, she was gancheong, haa.. asking baby still havent come out? Haa..then i realised why, Haa... She's gg HK on the 17th, by the look of it, think she gg to miss Lil Rayden's arrival...Well, I cant help it leh, he don wan come out yet mah... Okie time for me to slp..

Now 13th Nov (Rayden's EDD) 130hr... Hubby is watching soccer match Liverpool Vs Arsenal...Now...Shhhh...score 0-2, he DAMN PISSED with his team... Well i better don provoke him now..he extremely disappointed and angry with Liverpool's away performance... Ok ok i gg slp, workg tmr....

Last month of my pregnancy

22th October 2006 week36
heee.....went for checkup on 20th Oct (Fri), baby Rayden at wee 36, weighing at 2.9kg and head circumference is 34cm. Gyne din say anything, so i think considered normal size i guess. Baby not into birth canal yet, so wont be out soon, and the lastes for baby to come out is 20Nov, else need to induce liao... heard tat induced gg to be painful.. Gyne is gg to London for holiday and be back on 30 Oct, so I'll missed wk37 checkup lo, my next checkup be on 4thNov 06...2 weeks to go....Baby Rayden as usual..kicking n moving actively..hee...me gg to start drinking coconut liao..coz most of people say will make him "cleaner" when he come out. No harm la i guess to take once per wk... so now preparing preparing for lil Rayden's arrival now..

yawns... having quite a busy weekend, but fulfilling...Everyone start asking when am i gg on leave and when gg to deliver..hee. my tummy shd be looking big engf for delivery liao i guess..hee...Friday nite, 3th Nov, had dinnner with hubby's family..it's mother-in-law's birthday.. Went for a simple dinner at Crystal Jade at Tampines Mall.....She was saying she was hoping Lil Rayden could hv "come out" today, so share same birthday with her..hee.. but Lil Rayden cant bear to come out yet.. Aft the dinner, she rushed to her usual mahjong session at Bedok....

8th visit to the gynae (week 38)
4th Nov, satExcited! Coz get to see lil Rayden again..went for the checkup, told Dolly that baby as usual active but strength not as big as b4, she said it's ok as long as it's frequent, else i shd come imm for checkup. Told us that baby is normal n well, ard 3kg now, my water level still ample, still no rush for induced delivery yet, and baby is going down into birth canal... but she say likely to be overdue..hmm..Lil Rayden must be too comfortable in mummy's womb? Hee... but mummy & daddy are so eager to see u, and many of us too...prepared everytin for u, waiting for your arrival lo...Mummy & daddy hope u can choose to come out on 12th, it's our anniversary..hee..... Now everytime don get to see ya lil face, hiding from us, u lil notty boy..hee... mummy hv been wondering how u'll look like, more like daddy or mummy..so anxious..hee Then daddy proceeded to his badminton session aft the visit, mummy tag along, the hall is so warm..Hot hot..haa .... so next checkup will be 11th Nov Sat, see you again my precious boy!Evening, daddy brought us to Centrept, he went there to "see see look look" coz got event...aft tat Dad brought us to East Coast Park, mummy simply love to go there....so romantic.... and hee..at the Bedok Jetty, that's where Daddy and Mummy's first kiss for each other took place.. I am so glad, even though mummy so fat now..hee ..Dad still even bother to cheer mummy and take the time to travel so far here..juz to revisit the feelg n hv simple dinner here.... daddy so nice n romantic wor... we went for a stroll then daddy's frens... Uncle Yecheng and Aunt Jolyn, Uncle Joe n Aunt Angie came along to meet us for dinner..hee... After tat, dad as usual proceeded home for...his LIVERPOOL soccer match..haa...Liverpool won tonite...Daddy's v happy! in future Rayden join daddy to watch soccer k..goodboy!

Make-up aft a nite slp, as usual..hee...Daddy went for his badminton session, mummy din go, staying at home, tonite Aunt Shermaine's weddg dinner... Stayed at home to do a bit of chores and folded little Rayden's baby clothes..so tiny so cute!! Daddy v kwai oso..went buy mummy's fav zhu chang fen for breakfast.. yummy.. then he went off for his badminton session.Aft in evening, getting ready for the dinner..but alas, mummy blur blur, keep thinking the dinner is at Raffles Hotel, parked in carpark then realised when Aunt Peiling said, not Swissotel meh..aiyoyo...It's Raffles the Plaza, which is Swissotel, mummy blur blur lo..... we go over quickly, hengs it's so near, we reach there slightly before 830pm...phew..Auntie Shermaine is so pretty tat nice... wat a sweet little princess...Uncle Dennis also handsome... hee..more talkative tat nite..he used to stay v quiet..hee..wat a lovely couple...Food ok oni... but was so glad seeing them happily settled down finally..hee..Tonite, again hazy hazy like ytr nite....

Prior Daddy went for his usual basketball session, we went over to grandma's house for lunch, porridge..yummy..at the same time mummy went over to steal some mooncakes to eat, glutton mummy.hee..... Then grandma and Ah Yee voluntered to come over to acc mummy n help mummy w laundry when daddy go for his basketball..how nice of them to help mummy.. And Grandma have a slight slip when she climbed up the stairs to our house...So sad..but nothing happened..phew... poor grandma, Rayden u must sayang grandma okie..she gg to take care of u when u come out... be fillial to elders eh my darling Rayden... but i know u will coz u been a good boy n u sure be a good boy! Then evening daddy came home, send grandma n ah yee home then buy dinner back for mummy lo...then end then day... but today is a sleepy day for both dad n mum..dunno why.. *yawns*

17th Oct 2006 (Tuesday)
Hmmm..as usual hazy hazy day, but alot better than yesterday liao.. ytr reaches ard PSI 135....evil.. At last, today been feeling better, had a big fight with hubby on sunday nite.Sunday nite, went to mil's place for dinner, she cooked tat nite. Then while chatting, then she realised I am going to have my confinement at my mum's place, then she commented, why do it there, why not at our own house (as in our new house). Then hubby told her new house only him and myself, no helpers around, and my mum is not convenient to move over coz she need to take care of my dad n siblings as well. Then she said, very easy one la new born, when hubby leaves house to work, make sure bby is fed n change new nappies, he will sleep through, then i also sleep through, no need to worry abt baby. SURE?! That was my reaction, all my frens who gv birth told me baby cried alot, dirtied nappies, hungry and for no reasons. If during the first week, when I still tired and bby keep crying, wont i fall graudually into depression, coz no helpers. Then she mentioned, if staying at my mum's place, she and her relatives inconveniences when visitg the baby. I guessed that's the main reason, coz wat so bad of having extra helps when my mum's so willing to. I was abit pissed then, but i din show, plain selfishness. Furthermore, my EDD is on the 13Nov, then she said she can take a few days leaves to take care of me when i gv birth, can help out, but 17Nov, she's gg to HK, if fall on tat dates, she cant, see, this is how she wanna help out? HK tour and newborn, which is more impt? Well, i shall rest the case. Cant be bothered, at least i know how sincere she's to "help out".Then during our ride home, hubby was thinking shall we stay at our own house instead of the initial planned to go to my mum's. I was angered then, did he get affected by his mum? I flared at him, we kinda hv a fight, coz all along been planned lidat, and now, 4weeks to my delivery, he wanna change? It's such a dissapointment to my parents, they been so eager to receive us and our newborn.After all the heated arguements etc, he finally agree to, more pros going to my mum's place, baby and myself better taken care of and he can go to work at ease. Of coz beside those moving of things, squeezing into single bed etc...mundane problems... our final conclusion as of now, to move to my mum's place after delivery and if really conditions really not tat favourable, then we move back our own house. Coz at my mum's place, more poeple, so our newborn more prone to noise and bacteria/germs ..this i agree lo..... But good engf, each of us taken a step back, shall stay over, if really cant cope aft 2wks etc, we juz move back. So tonite, gg my parents's house and discuss with them lo. The way we break the news to them on sunday nite must hv saddened them. I felt so bad towards it.Btw, today is Amelia's birthday, our big sister in the company..... treated her for a small lunch, everytin been fine...I so blessed to have these frens with me over my entire process, supporting me, advising me, through marriage to house renovation and abt birth giving, and soon kids upbringing. And my dearest dearest little Rayden, you are 36wk old now in mummy's tummy, and still as ever, kicking n tossing actively n hard... hee... cute little baby, mummy n daddy have been so eager to see you n cuddle u in our arms. Preparations have been done... all mummy need to be pack barang barang in case u came out earlier to see us. Love you sweetie and I love our little family..

25th August 2006 (Fri):4th Visit to the Gynae

SO sad, no scan picture was taken today, coz Dolly (my gynae) say that the picture will not be clear. She took the measurements of my baby Rayden, told us tat he's doing well and from ultrasound can tell that he hv a rather big head and ear..hee..sound like look like me more than my Chris, got i got relatively bigger ear compared to him.. with those "zhao feng er" heee.... Chris got a big forehead..so head wise, shd be same as both..heee....bby hide his face this time round, cant see..notty Rayden....and he's in breech position..Rayden kwai pls turn down soon okie, so that mummy can hv a smooth delivery, i wont wish to opt for an ceasarean. Limbs etc are forming normally... good good....continue to grow well Rayden.. but ya, worried if head too big, I'd hv a hard time during delivery..so Rayden u kwai kwai don gv mummy a hard time k....love you baby..As for me...SObs...."scoldings" from Dolly again..hee..she said i gained 3kg from my last visit (1 mth ago), too much already.. hee... hmm..i cant control leh..no excerise but eat whole day.. hehehee... ok i'll try i'll try....next visit, blood test is needed, schedule on the 15th Sept (Fri) @ 3pm.. Then after visit, went CK Tangs with hubby to replenish new bras (80C ) and panties (L size ) ....Aftwhich Chris went for his work appt then proceed to his Poly Gathering with his frens @Bugis, whereas me mtg my gf too at Suntec.... so split our way.. Then at nite when gg home we are suppose to go back together instead of me alone taking MRT ..But alas...some things cropped out i took MRT home and i was quite angry & disappointed with Chris...We had a quarrel over sms...i refused to pick his calls when he wanna explain..so in the end.. i think too much n end up feelg v pissed with Chris..Tat nite, i roamed outside refusing to go home until 12plus, when Chris is really angry for my childish behaviour...So went home ..a big fight, trashed thinigs out, but in the end we made it up of coz..It was my fault majorly la for creating a storm, meant to be a small misunderstandg, due to his insensitiveness again though.. Anyway, we made it up... hee... I'm childish..sorry Rayden, think Mummy have upset u also... bad mummy.. But me & Daddy love u always eh.. rembr tat...

15th September 2006(Week 31 : Gyne checkup)

Hmm..consider a sad day for myself and my hubby. We went happily for the checkup today, having hopes that dearest Rayden (our little baby in womb) hv turned since wk31 liao..But alas..he did not.still head up n bottom down.. Took half day leave to go checkup, prior of that, went for lunch and to Metro Paragon to window shop for bby's stuff, got baby fair there, but only selective items on discount lo..so we din get anytin yet. Arrived at the clinic, took my blood test. Then to gynae, sad, she told me again my iron level is low... Ideal is 10.9 -11+, my last test during wk16 was 10.9, now was 10.8, did not improved. so i need to take the blood test again next visit (wk34), been advised to take 3 iron tablets per day to improve my iron level. But sadder the news came aft this, went for the ultrasound scan, Dr Dolly told us, bby bit yet turn, still in breech position. And bby is on the big side, size of week 33 but age of week31. If by week34 (my next checkup), bby still breech, we can prepared for a c-sect anywhere in mth of nov. DOn wish to..... i wan natural... sobs... wat to do...talk to bby more n hope he will turn soon, don make mummy n daddy sad mah, little Rayden.. After the gynae, initial plan was to shop around more complexs to check bby's stuff's prices out, but apparently, both of us no mood, went home straight away.My frens are coming latter in the nite to do mooncakes together.. but alas..really no mood, go home n rest a while first lo....Plan to cook simple dinner for my frens, but i really v sian lo... Thankfully, my hubby ok, he volunteered to go market for the indgrendients himself n cook simple dishesfor my frens... How nice of my dearest hubby, thank you...frens came n hv dinner, then we cont making the mooncakes..first trial for them, 2nd time for me.... they played w the dough, i wasnt in any good mood to "teach" anyway....turn out to be ok, skin was too thick..My hubby said that my first trial was better, but anyway , at least they know how to do, pratise make perfect.I'll be doing again too..for my parents and in-laws...

6th October 2006(Week 34 : 6th Gyne checkup)

Yippy!!!My dear little darling good Rayden TURNED! He's Head-down now..Hee..finally! My little darling boy, u kwai kwai lo...daddy n mummy and everyone else love u so much!Hee..recently Rayden been very very active, kicking n tossing throughout the day and nite, frens told me he shd move lesser now due to space constrain but nt true for my Rayden leh, his kicks n turns are definitely more powerful than ever, making my tummy look so funny everytime..hee... and he seem reactive to music, esp to Jolin's Mr Q..haa..he was "dancing" when the song played on TV.haa....so he like Jolin? hee...oh ya, went for checkup, gynae said he hv turned to correct position but face looking up, so i might have a long labour and gotta lie down.. hhmm..don really understand yet... but as long as little Rayden 's healthy n normal, i'll be happy engf. He's now week34, weighing 2.3kg, slightly bigger than average Dolly commented. Told Dolly he's active, and she said good... but i pray n talked to baby Rayden, pls don be somersaults and turn to breech again k..u be kwai kwai..Did my blood test again, ouch... dunno the results yet but i think i'd still failed my iron level I'll cont to pop my iron pills thrice per day la... then went for baby heartbeat monitoring, stayed for 20mins alone in the room, hearing baby Rayden's heartbeat, quite loud, like MRT moving in tunnel but nurse told me more like horse racing, but wat's it like in horse racing? never went turf club before ..hee..dunno... hear his beatings lo..sometimes very loud and he did toss a bit during the process... hee...active little one..Okie, mummy aim to finish buying all the necessity by end of this week and wash them by next, incase u are popping out earlier... u been moving a lot n strong kickings recently ah, waking me up in the middle of the nites... u little little one, so small yet so powerful.... heee..ohh daddy been v happy w u too..coz u r such a kwai darling, listen to daddy when he asked u to turn into correct position....we love u so much Rayden!!..Daddy been very nice to mummy oso, got massage more for mummy lately, knowing Rayden put on wt and mummy get tired easily now. I LOVE my little sweet family!Gathering with Daddy's ex-colleagues tonite at Chijmes..quite fun... food's ok la..Italian...anyway chattg lo.but daddy made mummy angry, he wanna go smoke, mummy say cannot liao n all daddy's frens also say cannot smoke, but he still go ahead!! no respect to mummy, so ANGRY!! Ignored him tat nite...ANGRY!! Hmmp!

house warming & Gyne visit

Around 3rd week of July (5th mth preggy), i finally took out my courage and announced my pregnancy news to my colleagues. They were all so surprised, some of those din even know I'm married.Of coz i try to keep the "shotgun" marriage news underwrapped, i guess n i hope no one know, but if they really count the months, theywould hv guessed as well... Anyway, don think too much lo. this is suppose to be a joyous news, but juz worried how my boss will perceived.. I didnot intentionally cheat on them...
Lives move on of coz, everyone gotten better..


A simple house warming 23 July 2006 (Sunday):

We try to keep eveything low profile and low cost as well, we invited some of our closer friends to this house warming, around 40 pax. Me and Chris start cooking in the morning around 8am..Our house warming starts around 2pm... We were busy cooking an cleaning up, guests starting to appear.... Guests commented we have a lovely house and the price we paid for it is considered reasonable..So relieved to hear that. We are not carrot..hee...Food is ok too, turn out fine though we are not those who cooked often, we are so glad that it wasnt a flop. Oh ya, my dad did help out too, he cooked mee hoon, fried some veg n some prawns... Chris's cookery of coz is pale compared to my dad, but he did well....He's the best..hee...Chris was the main cook, I'm only the helper... i entertain guests most of the time (hate to get myself oily ..hee..i got a good excuse too...being pregnant, tired..haa) Tummy showing now, it was a day to show-off my baby Rayden as well..hee..Overall it was a fatanstic day..... Closed another chapter....

3rd visit to gyne (24-July-2006 Monday):

Haaa..3rd scan... able to see bby more clearer, at least the shape of his head, body etc... so cute.... thru' the scans, Dolly told us he had a square face....hee, the eyes seems big n hollow...haa..and he seem to be smiling at us..so cute..i like this scan the most.... i can start to visualise him, so looking forward to 4th..etc etc..haaaBut...Hmm...Blood test is out, nothing major, but my red blood cells are slightly lower than average (coz i did not take the iron tablets timely)..Opps..okie, i promise I'll at least take 1 everyday onwards.. But Dolly told me, my dunno wat term, forgotten is rather high, meaning might hv risk of diabetes if not controlled..Opps..must be my fault again, coz i a junkie bynature.... better don eat so much chocolate , sweets etc in future, stop them? tat's impossible, haa..i juz being realistic la, i know myself..Sorry Rayden, Mummy not kwai..hee...She said i put on a bit too much wt too.. i cant help it leh..eat n eat n no excerise..hee...alrite, i'll watch out....Okie..next 4th gyne visit is 25Aug (which is tmr..Hee...looking forward, I'm gg to Mt A for tour + find out more on their prenatal class then proceed to Mt E medical to see Dolly n Rayden).. hee

my grandma went to heaven

2nd July 2006 (Sunday):
Finally I have really settled down, in term of my wedding and my house, I hv a place to call my home with Chris. On this day, my mum's birthday, had a dinner with her and my dad, then dad say need to visit grandma coz aunt called to say grandma having some difficulties..Visited her at TTS yesterday and she look better, so without thinking much, we went to see her in AMK. She was breathing quite hard (with oxygen tank) and seems choked with phlegm, making her look very uncomfy, a home nurse were there to take care of her... we stayed around until 9plus to 10pm, then suddenly one of my uncle realised, how come she's breathing lesser n lesser.... we are all alarmed, nurse quickly check for her pulse, felt no more she said. We were so worried, calling doctor, relatives to gather there..tears begin to flow heart begin to ache. I told myself, how could that be, no way, just 2 weeks ago, she seems alrite, she even drank my tea from me n Chris, no way she's gg to leave us. But truth hurts, she indeed passed away. Right before our eyes, at least, she leave peacefully with her children at her side... Then i start to harbour silly thoughts, was it me and baby indirectly causes it? In chinese old myth, gettg married and further more i carrying a baby, I am consider "higher", "stronger force" in me than her... is it somehow me n my baby "force" were too strong for her causing her to leave us? For a moment, I self-blamed, if really the case, i wont able to forgive myself.... i shared the thoughts with Chris and my parents of coz, they said I was stupid to thinkk of tat. Nothing can be changed, grandma indeed aged and having illness..perhaps it's better to end her sufferings than to drag.
Next few days we prepared for the funeral and those ritual prayings. Baby Rayden were with me all along, not sure if he able to understand mummy's grieves. All this while, Chris were with me, so glad to have him around, at least for spritiual support...At work, no choice but i need to consumed my 3-day of compassionate leaves. Ironically, this year is indeed so eventful for me, i was planning to announce my bby's arrival to my colleagues but alas, went my grandma's news first. I need to hold on to announcing Rayden's existence for a while more, this is an inapproriate time

Finally all settled! Yippy!

HDB 2nd appointment, 2nd Gyne Visit (19th June 2006)

the next morning, wake up ard 8plus, Chris is fresh finally, finished opening all the angpao then go for breakfast...... Checkout, went to bank in the $$ then to French bridal to return the gowns etc.... then lunch went for Rayden's second checkup... can see more clearer, he's developing well....but..oh no...blood test!.......i hate n scare of needles..but nevermind for Rayden's sake, i'll bear w it.... i almost faint though..haa...Chris hv been with me all the while....so sweet.. i was abit too tensed..in the end, the poked part was blue-black bruise... well well.... but this is an essential test for the bby's condition.. Ok, then aft which, rushed for the HDB 2nd appt.... CPF contribution, electricity bills etc etc...as usual handled by Chris... wat a busy day.....but was so fulfilling...

Our Big Day .. our customary weddg

Actual customary (18th June 2006 --Sunday):
The nites before, we both slept around 3am, coz hvnt finished arranging the table seatings etc..Both woke up at 5am in the morning.... yawns... Big big thanks to all the brothers and sisters and relatives who hv helped out.... It's been a busy but great day for us... Thankfully all events finished accordingly as planned....Simple went on great and timely....Morning, the fetching of brides pranks....all the tea ceremonies etc...all well done and thank you so much....Before the evening banquet after the day event, we proceeded to Grand Copthorne Hotel (Courtesy of our badminton group frens..a token from them). We reached the hotel and check-in, then Chris discovered din bring his jackets along.. He said my fault tat i din not remind him & i shifted the jackets hence he forgotten when he's coming out...a small hiccups here...whoever fault is...nevermind lo...so he drove all the way back to Yishun from River Valley and came back ontime.. but don hv time to sleep for his case lo...i was then doing my makeup during his absence.. i din get to rest too anyway....
Proceeded to QianXi PayaLebar resturant.... Guests soon coming in and tables are filled...n again thanks for the friends/relatives who helped.... things were on orderly....march-ins...thank you speech..photo takings....finally all over.. we are so tired.. over for me but not over for Chris, w/o fail, groom is offered beers, liquor, weird mixtures of drinks etc... he managed to hold ..until the end in the carpark...he vomitted..he had too much....one brother to help him up the hotel (the driver), he's flat on the bed then.. i helped him to clean up a bit, then i proceed w the angpao counting myself.. i was so tired n sleepy too.. yawns n hvnt showered..... jia you lo..endure... finally cant take it...din managed to open all, went shower, to wash away my heavy makeup and hairdos.... finally my bed! ZZzzZZzzZZzz

Photoshoot Outdoor and Indoor (21st April 2006):
Have been raining for the past few days... very worried that it'll rain during outdoor shoot, then we need to re-arrange n spend more $$ on the make-up etc.. but was very very lucky.. no rain at all at those areas we went, was in fact sunny all the way... phew.... another blessed day.. was fun though tired with those heavy makeup...

First viewing of Rayden & HDB first appointment (16th May2006):
In the morning, went for the first HDB appointment at HDB Hub (Toa Payoh), go thru the paper documentations.. etc etc...Chris and the agent and the contractor handled most of them, i'm just there to sign name n provide my CPF$$..haa..Chris know better... counting on him...
Noon time...Yeah..so exciting!! First time to see my precious baby, keep tellg him (actually tat that pt of time, i dunno boy or gal, but frens all say shd be boyboy), "very sorry baby, havent been a good mummy to you, din pay much attention nor eat well for him"..... Fren recommended Dolly Wee at Mt Elizabeth, i wan a female gynae..else will paiseh if male....Dolly asked how come so late 3.5mth then come see doc, when so worried abt bby...coz no symptons for me at all, only gotten hungry easily..so i was so scare...until Dolly confirmed w us, bby got heartbeat n developing normally..phew... She gave me calcium n iron tablets only, i asked abt folic acid, she said folic acid is meant for spine development, since now already formed, no need tat supplements...First look at Rayden...So cute..heee... nt very clear though..but from the ultrasound, he look like little ultraman.. heee...so adorable... for the first time, i really feel like a mum.... cant explained tat feeling thru words, how relieved i was to see him..resting in my womb....dearest baby, we love u so much....Then subsequent days...went showing off to friends... n to our parents of coz.. hee.... Top of the world... n ya Dolly told us it's a Boy....

We are married!!

Somewhere in March 2006~~

As expected, since rushing for wedding now... time became so very crucial to us, every single minutes counts... After announcing to our parents, next important thing is to settle the ROM and wedding date. I calculated, the lastest i can go is in mth of june 06, by then will be 4th mth, tummy will start to show...... Hence fixed our ROM date...ROM was still easy, as we can ignored the chinese auspicious thingy..... for the actual date (for chinese customary), postponed from early June until 18th of June eventually, coz Chris's mum is rather particular over it...sigh... we changed n changed until she's satisfy lo... For my parents were ez, my parents hv been very supportive throughout and even offer to pay, but of coz i refused, it's all my dad's hard earned $$....So eventually ROM on the 12th May 06 (Friday, Vesak Day) held at Amara Hotel (poolside), 18th June 06 (Sunday cum Father's day cum my dad's 55th brithday!)...hee at QianXi Paya Lebar... Actually we were very lucky to get the venues we want at both ok costs..coz both were considered hot dates, esp 18th June... Upon confirmation of the banquets, next to come our house and wedding package. We din go to the gynae as Chris and his mum both said, no nid to waste $ yet, coz still very small, nothing to see, wait until 3rd mth or so lo....but meanwhile i must watch my diet n movements lo... I felt so sorry towards Bby Rayden, coz we were both so busy w the wedding preparations, we din paid much attention to him, but he been kwai kwai silently growing stronger each day and never bother me with any morning sickness.. This helps a bit..tat's why i managed to keep this little secret from my colleagues until June (already 4th mth) Coz i wanna disclosed aft i get my confirmation from the company, no choice coz i cant afford to lose my job, income now, as u can see so many committment coming up.Choosing of house (early April 06):Initially i thought we could stay w my parents until perhaps bby born then we get our own house, this can help in term of financially too..but alas Man's ego i think..so eventually we fixed on gettg a resale flat near my parents. Settled for a 4/5-room resale flat in my parent's estate..But after viewing thru' we finally came down with an EM there, coz the 4/5room flats are simply too dirty/old/inaccessible. We actually love the location of that EM, the only bad pt, it's far too big for 2 of us..ermm actually 3 of us..hee... And coincidentally enough, this is actually the first flat we viewed n we like it.. we viewed on friday n by sunday, we confirmed the flat, efficient hah.. haa.. First appointment is on the 16th May (after our ROM), on the day itself also my first gynae visit wk 14...
Then on the 00:00 of his birthday (he's an Aries), he formally proposed to me with the 0.4carats diamond ring.. while actually i expected so, but i played along to be "surprised" as not to disappoint him.. hee... Kneel down w diamond ring, but no flowers leh... hmmp...aiyo...qincai lo..anything..he been so busy w the preparation himself, i really appreciate wat he did.. hee....So shortly, wedding package w French Bridal were fixed and photo shoot gg to be on the 21st April 06 (Fri). Visited and sourced around the wedding informations through forums and websites, indeed very useful... So wedding preparations more or less fixed, waiting for the dates to come. So next forums to go is renovation..hee... This area Chris worked on more, he's more keen on this topic, sourcing ard and found the best renovator/ID...haa..and reasonable quotation... etc etc...then working on the permit to hack walls etc... ROM day (12th May 2006 Friday @ Amara Hotel):Here comes the day, so anxious, tummy start to show though, i was plumper ..week13.. As usual, things went on so fine and well ..invited around 30 guests, 3 photographers (from French Bridal) and 1 videographer (self-engaged, thru' Chris's fren)..and good enough thru Chris's fren, gotta the contact of David Loh (one of the most popular solemniser)... so glad.. he's indeed very very experienced and funny.. Hence the solemnisation and with the help of Michelle and colleagues, every thing were perfectly..had a nite stay at their suite..beautiful room... At last Mr and Mrs Man & Wife... hahahaa I'm formally married to him...
